21st September 2006 ~Farewell Iqbal~

I started crying. I stood there watching Iqbal hugging Shao Mei as ShaoMei was already sobbing with tears.

“Shit, I hate this!”

Sherlynn, which happened to be standing beside me, was cursing the same thing as I did and we turned our heads facing to the other directions.

Oh my goodness, tears were dropping down my cheeks and I couldn’t help stopping it. It was my turn to give him a goodbye hug. He was crying too, but not that obvious as I could see him drying his tears. It was pretty embarrassing for a guy like me to cry though.

Two weeks had passed since when I was told that he would be leaving to UK for A-Levels. He received a last minute scholarship by the MOE. Before that, we were given a Biology-Forum project to be done and I had come to know more about him. Since then, we would talk more often and miraculously we became friends and had gotten a little bit closer.

When I was told that he would be leaving, seriously I didn’t know what to say, to be sad or happy. I’m happy for him to be receiving such a good opportunity and sad at the same time he would be leaving. Days passed as each of his friends gave farewell dinners and parties.

And my Biology class will never be the same again as the source of humor has gone. “IQBAL, SIT STRAIGHT!” as my Biology lecture would sometimes complain him being a lazy bump lying on the table. Sigh, I’ve got to get used to the new Biology class atmosphere now.

Back to the airport.

After finished hugging every one of us, he left the group and with his back facing us, went inside erm, I don’t know what term it is but yeah, where the non-passengers aren’t supposed to cross region. We followed behind him and waved at him.

Without any hesitation, Mabel and SMei ran to the second floor. Never had I been that emotional and I kinda did break down with tears. It feels really weird to really think of it. Why? First of all, I’ve only come to know Iqbal like 2 weeks before he left. But the thing is, why am I being so sad, compared to all of my known-for-life friends? Yeah, I love Iqbal. He’s so much fun to be with. To be honest, I’ve never been that down compared to my other friends when they left (I’m so sorry you guys!). So yeah…

We all rushed to the second floor to take a last look of Iqbal before he boarded the plane. Oh and I forgot to mention that he had a really lousy haircut! No wonder he was wearing a cap. Haha… There we were, at the second floor looking down at Iqbal before he entered the immigration hall. And there he was, looking at us, waving back at us and his family. (I’m trying very hard to write every piece of description down but sadly I couldn’t, I guess now I really get how it really feels when someone says ‘no words can describe my feelings’). We were all waving, until he finally went inside the hall.

It was silence. Everybody was still in the sad mood, especially Mabel. No one dared to speak a word and everybody was busy drying up their salty droplets of tears. We left the scene and headed to the ‘waving-gallery’. Mabel was behind the group, I guess that was when she ‘expressed’ it out. Apparently, we weren’t able to view through the window and decided to head back down. And I was on my out to QJie’s car, out from the airport.

“Hey Iqbal. Where are you? We’re all trying to see you from the waving-gallery but couldn’t find you”, Smei was speaking on the telephone.

“Wait ah! I go to where you guys can see me!”, Iqbal answers.

“Oh I see you! Do you see us?” SMei

“Yeah I see you guys!” Iqbal

“And since we are not going to celebrate your birthday next year, we’re going to sing a Happy Birthday song to you now! ~Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Iqbal, Happy Birthday to you~”, together with Sherlynn, Aron, and Desmond.

Iqbal broke down into tears.

I wasn’t at the scene when they sang Happy Birthday song to him, and damn I missed it. I think I would have cried more badly if I were there.

To Iqbal:

Again, congratulations on receiving the scholarship! Take care and don’t get naughty around with all those hot chicks! loL… Best of luck in your studies! You’ve been a wonderful friend to me although the time spent together was not that much, but yeah. I’ll miss you and I love you man!

Okay, basically, I’m having so-called 10 days holiday at the moment. And it’s pretty sad. Why? Because we will be having our mock exams soon after the new terms begins. Not to say, AS Level is drawing near. Meaning I’ll be sitting for my AS Practical and Theory papers soon after my mock. Damn~

Here’s the schedule of my sitting:

12.09.2006 – Chemistry 3

13.09.06 – Biology 3

18.09.06 – Mathematics 1 & 6

19.09.06 – Language and Literature in English 9

20.09.06 – Biology 1 & 2

27.09.06 – Language and Literature in English 2

30.09.06 – Chemistry 1 & 2

16.10.06 – AS MATHEMATICS 1

26.10.06 – AS BIOLOGY 3

03.11.06 – AS MATHEMATICS 6

20.11.06 – AS BIOLOGY 2

21.11.06 – AS BIOLOGY 1

For those who didn’t know, I’m taking only 2 subjects for my AS Level this year. Clearly written above, Biology and Mathematics. The other subjects were not recommended to take AS Level this year, simply because we couldn’t finish the syllabuses on time for the exam. Only about 1 week until my mock exam starts and yet I still haven’t prepared anything. I’m so dead!

Woken up today morning, by a big shout-out from my dad, ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY!’ Being one of the ‘Foo-Chow’, I must follow the tradition of eating ‘Noodle Line’ (Mian Xian) and an egg, prepared by my mom.
Another special thanks to Chia Ren, who had ‘accompanied’ me one hour before my birthday and a 1 minute countdown! Thanks! Really appreciate it! =D

Special thanks to Kar Mun, for being the first person to greet me Happy Birthday; to Chia Ren, for being the first person to greet me Happy Birthday on my birthday; to Jack, for being the last person to greet me Happy Birthday on my birthday. =P

Now to talk about how I spent my birthday. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I spent the morning in my house, eating the tradition ‘Noodle-Line’ and an egg. There was no activity planned during the afternoon, so I continued to spend my time in my house, playing 02mania, Age of Empires III, and watching Akazukin Cha Cha. I took a nap after that. Not long after I woke up, I received a message from KahHou about having a dinner at Excapade Sushi Restaurant at 7pm, with anonymous guests.

This was actually the first time for me about my friends planning about this birthday celebration (not including birthday celebrated at school). I used to be the one planning for the birthday celebrations to some of my friends and always hoping that someone will do the same thing to me on my birthday. So I was pretty excited and looking forward to everything on that night.

So I arrived at Excapade Sushi restaurant at 7.06pm and saw ChewYeu. Together we went upstairs with the present received from ChewYeu. Thanks ChewYeu! *horny~* We entered the entrance and was guided by one of the waitresses to our table. Miraculously, Excapade Sushi has been extended. Quite impressed by their extension and it was pretty obvious they didn’t want to lose to the newly opened Sushi Tei.

We ordered something to eat and towards the end, I was given a surprise. Yeah, I was surprised although I hate to admit it. There came a small birthday cake from my left, and everybody started singing happy birthday song before the wind from the air-con started to spoil everything. The wind blew off (correct word kah?) seven of the eight small candles, leaving a small one and a big one. Thanks to ChunHong for saving them. The waitress came and switched off the air-con and lighted the candles again, and another rounds of Happy Birthday song with different languages; English, Chinese, Korean. Thanks for the cake!!

Mmm, the cake was good. It was a chocolate cake, not sure whether it was an ice-cream cake or not, but I doubt it was. We finished three-quarters of the cake and left the rest to my parents.

So, nothing special about today except the small gathering at Excapade. So basically, this is how I spent my birthday. Although small, but had fun. Yeah, I’m 18! I’m officially legal to do anything! Hahaha…

Special thanks to Mabel, Chew Yeu, KahHou and Chee Hwa

Mabel, for the cute fluffy thingy; ChewYeu, for the ‘Wind’ Shot glass; KahHou and CheeHwa, for the iPod Nano and free-ticket-and-dinner vouchers; and KahHou for the iPod Nano (he lost my SGD$500+ PDA btw! hehe…)

I’ve got to thinking, again. What am I going to be doing during the 8 months holiday, after my A-Level course and before the first term of my undergraduate, if my term was to start on the September. I hope that I won’t be wandering around, wasting my time doing nothing useful. So obviously, I’m going to apply for a part-time to earn some income before I leave for good. Oh, I so hope that I can go to any of the universities in UK!

So, I’m going to earn some money. Why? Because I love money, I’m very sure everybody does. I hate to be broke all the time. And, I’m going to pay back the money I borrowed from my sister and his husband during the Singapore Trip last year. If I’m not mistaken, I owed them SGD$500, SGD$300 from my brother-in-law, SGD$200 from my sister. I’m not sure my word “I’m going to return back the money to you” gets into their head or not, which I assume that it didn’t. Thinking that I’m still a kid, and where the heck am I going to get all the money and we’re family. Family doesn’t want to deal with money, that’s what I thought they should be. And, I’m their little spoiled brother.

Don’t worry sister and brother-in-law, I’m going to return you the money. I have no idea when it is going to be, so wait y’all? Haha…

Will I still be staying here in Brunei after my A-Level course? I have no idea. I’m sure me going back to Malaysia is of higher chance. But I’d prefer to stay here, although I’ve been complaining how pathetic Brunei is, and how it bores me. But when it comes to earning money here, hehe, it’s double! I’d prefer to work part-time here rather than in Malaysia. Heck, I’ve been living in Brunei since I was born. I’m used to living in high standard (compared to Malaysia) and receiving high pay is a must. Imagine how low the pay it would be if I were to find part-time in Malaysia. I know, their standard of living is not that high. Oh, judge me if you must!

Anyway, if I were to find a part-time here what job would it be? I’ve listed down some of the possibilities.

1) A teacher in CHMS

2) Waiter

3) Jaya or UG staff

4) Comments??

Haha, a teacher? Can I handle to receive serious attention from the kids or maybe secondary students? I’ve got to be kidding. Am I going to be a primary teacher? Hmm, maybe not lower primary, maybe Primary 6 students. At least they’re more mature and less chaos created. I hate troublesome kids, I don’t think they’re cute at all. Secondary teacher, hmmm, maybe? But make it lower secondary. I don’t think I can handle ‘O’ level, although by the time I have already passed my A-Level. Now, what subject am I going to be teaching if I really did accept to be a teacher. Mathematic won’t be a burden for me, or maybe Science? loL. I’m thinking too far, am I not?

21st August 2006 [ 4–1=3 OR 4=2+2 OR 2+1=2]

Prom night is the best thing that can ever happen during high school. You’ll get to see everybody in their tux and gowns. Unfortunately, this never happened to me during my high school life, except ChuiSan’s Sweet 16th Formal Birthday Party. How pathetic!

Two days ago, I attended the worst ever so-called prom night. How worst? First of all, it shouldn’t be called ‘Prom’, because it didn’t even look like one, everybody wasn’t in their best dress. It was titled ‘Semi-Formal to Formal’. Furthermore, the tickets sold should be limited. There were simply too many strange looking weirdo entering the ballroom, making the seats limited. Hence, the non-PTEB students (the prom was organized by PTEB) were shoo-ed out so that they could make their adjustments, as if we didn’t buy the tickets. And, the service of the hotel sucked. The food was ok but there were no drinks. We had to go all the way to the further corner-end of the ballroom to take the drinks. Nobody was serving. I take back what I said about the food. It wasn’t ok at all. It was too little to full our hunger.

The prom was in a total disaster. The band was hell noisy. Imagine a rock song playing when you were having your dinner, how would you able to enjoy it? And if I were to dance, I think I’ll be squeezing the hell for more rooms. And, it was really hot! Hot, as in temperature rising as more and more people came in. What a waste of money!

After leaving, we headed downstairs to the lobby and took some more pictures.

As I was saying, weirdo as in real weirdo. QiuJie and I were standing just outside the main entrance of the lobby waiting for ChunHong and JunChen to drive the cars from the parking lot (it was raining). There was a man, a woman on his right arm, and another younger girl following behind him.

“Hey! Something wrong? Why are you standing here?” the man was talking to me, with his left hand smacking my arse. Yes, my ARSE! I’ve been touched. I pretended it didn’t happen and the man left us. QiuJie saw what happened too but pretended she didn’t see anything.

We arrived at ChunHong’s house 20 minutes later, thinking that we should have supper since we didn’t enjoy the food at the prom. Unfortunately, JunChen was told by his mom to head straight back within half an hour. Feeling rather disappointed, QiuJie and JunChen left the house, leaving ChunHong and I behind. The night was still young, we decided to call KahHou out to have supper, and soon we were on our way to fetch him.

We went to Mata-Mata’s Sing You Me Restaurant. We arrived at 11.15pm and I ordered “Seafood Shen Mian” with a glass of Iced-Lemon Tea. ChunHong ordered Laksa, KahHou didn’t order anything thinking that he would be asleep a few hours later. It was weird to dress formally to have a supper. ChunHong and I looked like businessmen. loL. After Sing You Me, it was 1am. We didn’t have the mood to return back home yet and we decided to have more supper. We went to the town area, the 24 hour coffee shop. We arrived at around 1.30am, found a place to sit, right under the Singapore Airline banner. The chairs were really comfy, and it was night. Really cold, as the cold wind touched my arms and hands, sending chills throughout my body. We left at 2.20am, thinking that it really was the time to head back before our parents really complain.

14th August 2006

To all of my beloved readers,

After all of the wide gap that I had not been updating my daily life, here I am, back to update my daily post. Anyone misses me?

Before I update myself, I’d like to announce something. I’ve received a comment from a friend of mine regarding the previous 2 posts about my Singapore Trip. It’s not something that he said, but I think that I’d like to create another blog to where I write my Singapore Trip and I’ll be writing my daily life here. Yeah, so that’s it. Anyone interested in reading my Singapore Trip is welcomed to visit the other blog, which I have not created, but it’s a soon-to-be, so ya’all be patient!

Now, I’ve got an urge about writing what I had been through today, and I must say I did quite enjoy today. If you’re expecting something big, then don’t be because it’s not something big. Hehe.

Anyway, college started normally as usual where I had my PS block spent in the library (the Lecture Theatre was not available) flipping through Statistics exercises and past year questions (I had my Statistics Test today). Feeling rather sleepy and tired, I decided to just flip and flip instead of trying the questions while waiting for the time to pass.

After 1 ½ hours, I was sitting by my table waiting for the Stat paper to be given by my Math Teacher, Mr. Zach. Darn, I was so sleepy. The paper was an original examination from the Cambridge. So I guessed maybe it was going to be May/ June 2006, which I had practiced it secretly thinking that it will come out during my last Statistics Test, which in turn didn’t. Anyway, as soon as I got the paper, I eyed at the top left corner where the year was printed and there it written ‘MAY/ JUNE 2006’. Oh, I’m a lucky bitch.

I didn’t feel as excited as I am now typing everything down because as I mentioned, I was sleepy and tired. And so, I answered the questions with ease but not as confident as the last Pure Math test (I got 100% =p Yes, I was smart and stole and May/ June 2006 Pure Math and did it the night before the test which in turn came out for my paper), hoping that all the questions I answered were all correct. I finished all 7 questions just in time and handed in the paper, praying that I get all of them correct. You see, I’ve done it before, so I must have the solution. Guess what? They were all correct! Haha, boy I’m so happy!

It was lunch time and everyone was really hungry. We (QiuJie, SuChing, JunChen and me) followed ChunHong’s car to the nearby shopping village to have our lunch. We stopped at Ahan Thai and I ordered Prawn Omelet. I didn’t enjoy my dish very much though because I felt like as if I was eating oil. Yes, oil! The egg was so oily. I am so never going to order any Omelet from that restaurant, I should have ordered my all-time favourite, GREEN CURRY!

Because ChunHong’s lecture starts 1pm and so he had to rush back to the campus and we were dropped at The Mall. We went to the 3rd floor food court and sat down.

It’s the month of the Hungry Ghost Festival and not to say there’s going to be 2 months of all the ghosts and spirits wandering around in the streets. This had become the hot topic that we were discussing today at the 3rd flood food court despite the nearby source was only a few feet from where we were sitting. Anyway, the topic began with JunChen’s dogs. Cats and dogs, as all most of you know that they have the ability to see ‘things’, especially during this month.

JunChen was saying that he had spirits wandering around in his house. Now you’re all probably thinking the same thing as I was at that time. Spirits wandering around in his, is that possible? Since every family would be superstitious enough to have safety talisman or whatever they are called hanging in front of their main door. I was thinking about that. And as I was saying, he has 2 dogs which can see ‘things’. There was one time that he saw his dogs’ head turn from one angle to another angle as if we were turning our head so see the people walking. But it was not people that his dogs saw; they were spirits as they were nobody walking. JunChen was staring as the dogs made their turning. According to him, his mother had once told him to not bother about it. Ah, this was not the first time and in fact, it had happened several times. Scary, eh?

Another story by JunChen in which his mother encountered. There was one night, at around 1am, when all the dogs were barking fiercely and Chen Mom had to check what was going on from downstairs. Maybe it was a burglar or something else. So his mom had a peek from the window upstairs. From what I heard, she saw a blur image of a girl standing. Thinking it must be her imagination, she took a closer look at it again to confirm. A girl was standing right beside his car. And the next thing I know was that when his mom woke up the other day, she had a ‘punch mark’ on her face, a curse by the spirit. JunChen, your house is so full of spirits, or rather your neighborhood.

Another case which is also by JunChen, also by his mom. It was one evening and there was nobody at home except for her mother. Her mother was downstairs doing something. Suddenly she heard running foot steps coming from the second floor. And there was nobody in the house and the noise did sound like children playing football.

We ended the topic by branching into another topic. loL

I was 15 minutes late for my ELL lecture in the afternoon. Luckily, the lecturer was in a good mood and I was not scolded for my lateness. As soon as I got in the class, everybody was busying writing something which I did not recognize. My essay was given back by one of my classmates sitting in front of me. I scanned at my work. A big ‘Good Example’ was written in caps was written at the top of the page with a ‘Good work!’ down below my paragraph. Wow, I was happy at the first moment, but then I got to thinking everybody too had the same comments. So I continued looking and staring around, asking what were they doing. It seemed that they were rewriting their exercise as they had done it wrongly and I was amongst the few that had done it correctly. Now that kind of explains the ‘Good Example’ and ‘Good work!’.

I looked through my exercise again and re-read and when I heard my teacher giving compliments about my work in front of the whole class. God, that felt so good! The teacher was saying that my work was a very good example and made sure that everyone had read it.

‘My work is good?’ I asked my classmate sitting beside me in a total confused and at the same time happy mood.

‘Yeah…’

‘Oh…’

Wooo, never in my life my work been classified under a good example. Oh! That really feels good. And of course, my teacher did mention another name, Xiang Yun. My my, we were both from CHMS. Haha.

My teacher further added “I like how KahSiong uses the word ‘hypothesis’ in the paragraph” I returned a smile back to the teacher.

07th December 2005 ~International-Boundaryless~

As mentioned by the pilot, it would take around one and a half hour to reach the island. Lunch was served right after the plane had reached stratosphere (Am I right?). I couldn’t remember what I had for lunch though. I know Jade and I were eating our lunch and watching TV at the same time. I think we were watching ‘Sky High’, a human version of ‘The Incredibles’. We continued on the movie after we were done with our lunch until we finally reached Singapore. Jade was so concentrated on the movie that she didn’t know that we were landing. She actually screamed when the plane landed as if there was turbulence. Needless to say, it was quite embarrassing.

I looked out at the window right beside ChewYeu’s. Yes, we’re finally here, Changi International Airport.

We waited for the plane to park. We were very anxious to get out of the plane. The seat belt sign was still on but nobody really bothered about it and everyone unbuckled their seat belt, stood up and took their belongings. We were on the ground. We were safe, hell yeah.

07th December 2005 ~Changi International Airport~

Without any delay made, we took our stuff and got out of the plane and stepped into the glorious and magnificently well-known Changi International Airport, Singapore. We rushed out and made our way back and forth, seeing the signs that directed to our destinations; Immigration and Shops. It was a pretty long pathway from the parking as we finally saw Immigration pointing ‘Down’ and Shops pointing ‘North’. Jade, KahHou needed to buy a prepaid sim-card. They headed further north to the shops along with CheeHwa. ChuiSan, ChewYeu, ShinYi (Chew Yeu’s sister) and I took the elevator down into a large hall where the immigration was located.

We went and queued in the non-citizen line. There were familiar faces that I’ve seen earlier on the plane. The kid who thinks he is so cool scrolling his iPod up and down with that spoiled and rich-kid look face with a Nike bag, Nike shoes, Nike shirt. It was my turn and I waited for the custom people (what term is used to call them?) to finish the protocol. It didn’t take much time and I waited for the others to join me, Jade, ChuiSan, ChewYeu, ShinYi, KahHou, and CheeHwa.

Next stop, the belt section. I couldn’t remember which belt number but I remember that our bags were all in a pile. They have already stopped the ‘thingy’ from moving. We took our bags and placed them on the trolley and waited for our beloved drivers to fetch us. Ah, how nice!

CheeHwa was waving to a particular person from a distant. We paused our conversation and turned our head and eyes fixed on the man. He was heading in our direction. He had a familiar face as CheeHwa’s dad, but I don’t think the two of them are related. If I’m not mistaken, it was a friend of her mom’s. He was at the airport to give us a friendly and warm welcome to the island, and of course, a ride to the hotel. There was another driver from ChuiSan’s mom which had offered us the help. We didn’t get to look at his/her face.

So the 3 guys, CheeHwa, KahHou, and I, together with our luggage followed Uncle to the parking lot. As we were walking to the east-side of Terminal 2 building, I noticed some familiar places 2 years back. The appealing ‘Burger King’ sign with a large hamburger, Starbucks Coffee, and so on. The parking lot was located at the very far end of the building. We had to use 2 different lifts to get there before the paying-machine. Finally we were there, with the very beautiful and luxurious Mercedes Benz right in-front of us that we were about to ride. Hmmm, he’s rich! He had the rich-looking fellow look.

We were on the road to the hotel. First I’d like to comment about the car. Although it was just an ordinary Benz on the outside, but I still want to talk about it. The seats were comfy with the right temperature of air-conditioner, beautiful sound-system with a LCD-Screen in the middle of the car. Instead of playing a CD, it was playing a DVD Santana (if I’m not mistaken) performing live in a gig or concert or whatever. I can’t say I enjoy the video though. The video was not playing as the car was in motion, for the safety of the driver and not to draw attention. As soon as the car was not accelerating, the video was back in action. So it was kind of cool, not enjoyable.

Throughout in the car, I was busy viewing ‘Singapore’ and checking my personal stuffs at the same time. The trees, the apartments, the skyscrapers, the so-called Singapore River, and everything that was on the road, and even the sign-board. After about half an-hour’s journey, we arrived at the hotel, Hotel Furama RiverFront. The girls arrived earlier than us and were standing right in-front of the main gate waiting for our arrival. We took our luggage out and thanked Uncle for the ride. So, the 7 of us went inside the hotel and checked in. The hotel was pretty much in Christmas season, all the decorations, and of course, the Christmas tree. After the procedures were done, we were directed by the bell-man to our rooms, 1 for the girls, and 1 for us.

I had my Chemistry and Biology tests two days ago, Chemistry test was a killer one. The terrible thing was that of all the points I’ve memorized, maybe not memorize, but, I forgot almost all of them. That is so sucky!

Now, I’ve got a list of people I would like to thank for ‘helping’ me in my Biology test.

- FuiTze (the 1st person to sit for the test)

- Chee Hwa (thanks for the juicy core-to-core details)

- Chun Hong (thanks for further adding the juice more concentrated)

- Qiu Jie (thanks for making the juice to pH1)

Hope I didn’t miss anybody out there. Again, thank you all for making my Orange Juice a tasty one.

Went to CHMS today, attended the Inter-Class Dancing Competition. The once beautiful small little garden walk has turned into grey-looking brick-y pathway, which is very artificial and dull. I must say, I don’t really like it. As soon as I arrived, I went to Primary One Bronze and found Chui San and the rest busy doing make-ups. Messy. I found myself a table near to the door and sat down, watching the rest busying. I wish I could help but I don’t think I would give a helpful hand as it’s not my area of expertise. Haha!

After a while, Kah Hou and Su Ching came in and followed by Qiu Jie after a few minutes. Saw ShiYin and Siaw Ling too.

The secondary section of the competition started. Boring, I must say. Even Swian’s dance was not very appealing, which I thought would be. And our rival class, F5A (2006), didn’t participate in the competition, making the competition whole less competitive. I forgot to mention one thing. This year’s competition was held at night, due to the lightings. I’m quite impressed with the lighting though. It’s a spoil that the dances were not very appealing; else the lightings would bring a great benefit into it, except for Chui San’s dance. Their opening plus the lighting was brilliant. Can’t describe it out! Go get yourself the video and see for yourself. Haha!

The results will be announced on Sunday. Hope Chui San’s group will get the champion again.

After the competition, we went and makan satey at one of the restaurants at ___. Chun Hong driving. Muahahaha…..

3rd July 2006 ~ASSembly~

For the first time in 4 months, we had our second assembly today. Didn’t know it coming until my tutor group told us to go straight to the Auditorium after registration. I was quite looking forward to attending the soon-to-be-bored-me assembly, though some decided to skip but unfortunately, a wild whore fat-looking bitch, in the Students’ Affairs Section, came and shoo-ed while we were standing right in front of the Students’ Affairs room, enjoying the morning discussion of World Cup. Oh my goodness, Brazil actually lost. How pathetic! I must say those who bet on Brazil, they must have lost quite a sum. Anyway, there came the stupid bitch shooing us away as if she were shooing chickens in a barn. We were the run-away chickens and there she was, trying to catch us before we could freely run away.

We entered the auditorium. When was the last time we actually been there? Oh yeah, it was like 4 months ago, when we had to choose our ECA. Only this time, there were actually 1700+ students packing and squeezing inside, each trying to get a nice, comfy seat. Boys were instructed at the 1st floor of the Auditorium. I’ve never been to the 1st floor and had always been wondering how it looked like. Yet, we climbed the scruffy old looking stairs with broken pieces of tiles lying on each steps. The paint was terrible. The white paints were all beginning to lose its sticky-ness (can’t think of a word) on the walls. We followed the small and short narrow path, or should I say alley, that directed us into the left entrance to the seats. First impression, ‘boleh tahan jua’. The left and right corners were almost fully occupied, only the top-most centre was empty. So, we walked past every student with their eyeballs fixing on us, as if they were judging our lateness. We climbed to the top-most and sat down, Ren on my left, ChunHong on my right.

We waited for everyone to enter the hall and settled down. As usual, it began with the choir singing the National Anthem and 2 MD’s songs: School Song and Family Song. I love MD’s choir. I’m sure everyone has fallen in love with their melodious voices ever since we first stepped into the hall where we were entertained by the choirs during our orientation. First speech was by the principal. I didn’t pay much attention to what he was saying when he started using Brunei Language. I was day-dreaming, looking here and there. Oh yeah, Congratulations to the MD Gulingtangan members who won the competition the other day. I must say, I feel proud of my college. And to the Debate Team too, who also won the competition.

Time flies and flies and it was 8.45am. The Upper Sixth was instructed to go back and have their lectures while we, Lower Sixth stayed back in the Audi. We were instructed by one of the she-assistant principal go fill in the empty spaces down the ground floor. Tiring, I must say. So we all went down and took a nice 10 to 20 minutes to move down the stairs. We sat at the third last row and waited for everyone to settle down before the she-assistant principal began barking her speech. Yes, she was barking. I didn’t care much what she was saying, too busy day-dreaming and ‘san-pat-ing’ and talking. After she was done, the fat-looking whore bitch, as I’ve mentioned earlier, the one that shooed us away, went and delivered or barked her speech. I wouldn’t even call that a speech. She was talking dog-language, barking nonsense, and we were back there judging her every looks and styles. Urgh, stupid whore. It took her like, 1 hour to finish barking. Thank God. The assembly ended at 10.15am. The longest and the most boring assembly I’ve ever had. Not to say, the chair was very uncomfortable. The chair was not designed to sit; it didn’t even suit the lining of the humans’ assses. It was flat hard and imagine you sitting on it for 3 solid hours. My ass was in pain the whole time.

Now, now, we had to go through a spot-check before we leave. I didn’t put on my badge, simply because there would be tiny little holes on the uniform which I would to pinch them through, and nobody wears them. We have the MD logo on our tie anyway. So I offended one rule and had my name written down on the offenders list. And there it was, ASSembly.
